Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) set out the conditions for using the app “Teraloo” (the “App”) provided by Teraloo Operator (“we” or “us”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the App
The App turns the step counts recorded in Apple Health (HealthKit) or Health Connect into distance in a game, so you can travel between cities on a globe and collect city cards. Distances and routes in the App are for the game and do not match real distances or travel times.
2. Health and safety
- The App is a game. It is not a medical device and does not give medical or health advice.
- Step counts come from your device and the OS, and may be incomplete or inaccurate. We do not guarantee them.
- Please watch where you are going when you walk. Do not look at the App while walking in places where it is dangerous.
3. Your data and the transfer code
- Your travel progress is stored on your device and backed up to our server (see the Privacy Policy).
- There is no login. To move to a new phone, you use the transfer code shown in the App’s Settings. Anyone who has your transfer code can take over or delete your data. Keep it private and do not share it.
- If you lose both your phone and your transfer code, we cannot restore your data, because we have no other way to confirm it is yours.
- You can delete your data in the App (Settings → Delete data) or on the data deletion page. Deletion cannot be undone.
4. Prohibited conduct
When using the App, you must not:
- Violate any law or public order and morals
- Modify or reverse-engineer the App
- Send false data to our server, or use another person’s transfer code without permission
- Try to guess transfer codes, or put excessive load on our server
- Interfere with the operation of the App
5. Changes to or end of the App
We may change the App or stop providing it. If we stop providing it, we will announce it in advance in the App or on this website.
6. Disclaimer
- We do not guarantee that the App is free of defects or fits any particular purpose.
- Except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the App, unless such a limitation is not permitted by applicable law, including consumer protection laws.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms when necessary. Changes take effect when posted on this page. We will announce important changes in the App or on this website.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The district court having jurisdiction over our location shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute relating to the App.
